Florida ‘Movie Theater of the Future’ is a Cinematic Adventure

What does the movie theater of the future look like? A completely revamped movie theater concept, Grove Theater, Bistro & Entertainment is pioneering a new style of cinema.

Opening in the north Tampa community of Wesley Chapel, Florida inside The Grove shopping and family entertainment district, Grove Theater is more of a cinematic adventure than a traditional theater.

A Movie Theater with Spin Class, Comedy Shows and Family Activities

With exciting, interactive enhancements to the movie theater experience like Cycle Cinema, a comedy club, kids’ play place with child care, and a sushi bar, full-service bistro and in-movie dining, Grove Theater brings family fun, fitness with friends and date nights together under one roof.

Also featured inside Grove Theater is a second location of longstanding Tampa comedy club Side Splitters. Featuring nationally-touring headliners, local talent and an award-winning open mic, Side Splitters is a perfect fit for the theater’s new interactive, community-focused environment.

For families, a kids’ play area with child care, a 40+ game arcade and The Acting Studio extracurricular theatre education program are welcome additions to the movie theater experience.

Enhance the Experience with Sushi and Bistro-Style Dining

Sushi at the Movie Theater of the Future

With a sushi bar, sit-down bistro and in-theater dining available in the Grove Theater upstairs, movie theater food just got an upgrade. I’m looking forward to enjoying some sushi during a movie while relaxing in the theater’s plush reclining seats.

Theatergoers will choose their seats and reserve them through Grove Theater’s online booking system. To ensure social distancing, the theater will use a checkerboard seating pattern. Capacity is limited.

In addition to socially-distanced seating and capacity limits, the theater is using a variety of methods to ensure safety. The facility features UV light sanitation technology and fog machines disinfect theaters between showings.

At the building entrance, the theater conducts automatic temperature checks. Face coverings are required and hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the facility.

The theater is now open for weekend movie showings and dining. New experiences like Cycle Cinema and Side Splitters Comedy Club openings will be announced soon.
